Just Ask

To realize the value of one year, ask a student who failed a grade.

To realize the value of one month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

To realize the value of one week, ask the editor of a weekly magazine.

To realize the value of one hour, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

To realize the value of one minute, ask a person who just missed the train.

To realize the value of a second, ask a person who avoided an accident.

Press the Button

The thing about life that i've learned is that your going to get hurt. You're going to have emotional nights and cry yourself to sleep for hours. you're going to suffer some kind of heartbreak, some kind of loss. But you will also have those moments where you heal. Those moments are the best. You feel like you smile for the first time again. You feel like you're alive again. Life kind of restarts.

OMFGG, I'm in Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl is an American drama television series based on the book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series was created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and premiered on The CW on September 19, 2007. On February 24, 2009 The CW renewed the show for a third season.[1] Narrated by the omniscient yet unseen blogger "Gossip Girl", voiced by Kristen Bell, the series revolves around the lives of privileged teenagers attending an elite private school in New York City's Upper East Side.
The series follows the lives of Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), a beautiful Queen Bee of Manhattan's social scene, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), Blair's best friend and occasional rival, Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick), the resident bad boy of the Upper East side, and Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Chuck's best friend. The story also follows the experiences of outsiders who become part of the turbulent Manhattan scene, including Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), his sister Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen), and Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr).

Costume design
The series is known as much for its costume design as it is for its plot. Eric Daman, the series stylist, incorporates rising designers to the series costume design. He said in an interview, “Alexander Wang and Vena Cava were definitely not mentioned in the books but are essential on the fashion scene in today’s NYC. I felt it really important to incorporate these young designers into the vocabulary of the show as the socialite girls that GG is based on would know these designers, be the first to find them and the first to wear them. Think Zac Posen and Lola Schnabel.” [2]
[edit]Music
Alexandra Patsavas is also being credited for the selection of music used on Gossip Girl. In contrast to her consistent use of independent music and alternative artists on those two shows, Patsavas incorporates current Top 40 hits on the series explaining, "I'm relying on old favorites while exploring current pop music. And since the show revolves primarily around high school students in New York, we'll definitely be using some New York-based bands. But these kids listen to the radio, too."[3]
[edit]Valley Girls
Main article: Valley Girls
Valley Girls was a proposed spin-off of the television series[4] created by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. The show premiered as a backdoor pilot through "Valley Girls", the 24th episode of the second season of Gossip Girl. The show centers on the lives of character Lily van der Woodsen and her sister Carol living in the San Fernando Valley.
[edit]Cast and characters

Main article: Characters of Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl features ensemble cast of nine regular speaking roles which were mainly adapted from the book series. The series began with the mysterious arrival of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), who attempts to start a new page in her life with her friends and family. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), an outsider who becomes a part of the turbulent Manhattan scene, is Serena's main love interest whom she starts dating in the first episode. Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) is a beautiful Queen Bee of Manhattan's social scene, Serena's best friend, ally, and rarely rival. Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) is wealthy and popular guy, always confused with his feeling and the paths in his life. Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) serve as the show's antihero, he is a womanizer and party lover with a troubled life and past, but who has a soft side to him too. The five mentioned characters serve as the show's focal point, while the other characters contribute in subplots. Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) is Dan's younger sister, who desperately tries to become the next Queen Bee, a goal that makes her realize the true values of life, which she eventually accomplishes. Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) who enters the show in its first season as Dan's past love, becomes a series regular after the 14th episode of the first season, where her storyline drastically changes and she falls deeply for Nate. A major subplot in the show involves Serena's mother Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford) and Dan's father Rufus Humphrey (Matthew Settle), both of whom share a romantic past which follows them throughout the show, and eventually leads to marriage. Other characters include Eric van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo) Serena's overly caring gay brother, who becomes very close with Jenny; and Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg), the main antagonist in the show, but with a recurring role.

Main article: List of Gossip Girl episodes
[edit]Season One: 2007-2008
Main article: Gossip Girl (season 1)
Season 1 featured 18 episodes and began airing on September 19, 2007. However, due to the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, only 13 episodes were produced from the planned 22, but once the strike ended, the network announced five more episodes to be produced, and finally the season concluded on May 19, 2008. The season begins with the return of Serena van der Woodsen on the Upper East Side, following her unexplained absence to boarding school in Connecticut. The main story arc in the season is Serena's reason to return and to leave Upper East Side. The first couple of episodes involved her rivalry with her former best friend Blair Waldorf. The first episode explore part of the reason Serena left, which is her sleeping with Blair's boyfriend Nate Archibald the night she left. Near the end of the season the mysterious and evil Georgina Sparks appears to shake up Serena's life, and she discovers the other part of the reason why Serena left. Part of the main story arc also involves Serena's relationship with Dan Humphrey, an outsider from Brooklyn.
Other storytlines include Blair breaking up with Nate and falling for his best friend Chuck Bass, which leads to her dethroning as Queen Bee; Jenny's training of becoming the next Queen Bee lead by Blair, which contribute to both of them later in the season beginning war for the throne; Nate's family problems; Lily's marriage with Bart Bass; Rufus' troubled marriage; Dan's relationship with Serena which is interrupted by his former love Vanessa Abrams; and the friendship of Chuck and Nate.
[edit]Season Two: 2008-2009
Season 2 featured 25 episodes and began airing on September 1, 2008 starting at the end of the summer instead of the more conventional start in the fall along with larger TV networks. The season concluded on May 25, 2009. The season premiered with 3.43 million viewers,[7] similar to the first season and ended with 2.23, lower than expected.
The second season mainly explores the senior year of most of the characters, the continuity of their new found relationship, their final encounter with "Gossip Girl", and their tries to get in college. The first couple of episodes feature part of the summer vacation, respectively week before the start of the school year. The role of "Gossip Girl" is slightly decreased. She continues to run her blog, but she keeps the ultimate information for herself, sending it in the final episode as the last blast, where Serena decides to find out who "Gossip Girl" really is, but ultimately fails.
The second season also focuses on Blair and Chuck, who at first negate the feelings they feel for each other, and go through random manipulations and intrigues made by themselves, with the goal to express the love they feel for each other. After all the games and manipulations both of them eventually say "I love you" to each other. Other storylines include Blair's attempt to enter Yale University; the death of Bart Bass which influence very bad on Chuck and the exploration of his involvements; Dan's transformation from outsider to insider and his relationship with Serena's teacher Rachel Carr; Serena's relationships after breaking up with Dan; Jenny's career as fashion designer and her rebellions which ultimately ends with her becoming the next Queen Bee; the end of Nate and Chuck's friendship and Nate's friendship with Dan; Nate's family problems which continue to grow and affect on his new found relationship with Vanessa; Rufus and Lily's relationship after Bart's death, their engagement, and revelation that they have a son; and Serena's involvement with Poppy Lifton, a secretive socialite that tries to steal money from Serena and her friends which ultimately leads to the return of the evil Georgina Sparks who claims to be changed but eventually decides to get revenge on Blair.
[edit]Season Three: 2009-2010
The CW has renewed Gossip Girl for a third season,[1] which started airing on September 14, 2009. The cast began filming on June 29, 2009 in New York City. Hilary Duff has confirmed that she will be joining the show for a multi-episode guest arc in this season as Olivia Burke, a famous movie star who wants a normal college experience. This character was inspired by real life actress Emma Watson's decision to attend college. [8]Joanna García has confirmed that she will also be joining the show for the first four episodes as Bree Buckley, an "evil Miss America type" from a rival Texas family who have a lot of beef with the Archibalds - she will serve as love interest for Nate.[9] America's Next Top Model boss Tyra Banks has been confirmed to appear in the fourth episode as Ursula Nyquist, a larger than life actress, who'll work with Serena. Also appearing in this episode is Sonya Harum an up and coming actress and designers Tory Burch and Georgina Chapman.[10] Music group Sonic Youth will make a guest appearance in the show's fifth episode playing an acoustic version of their song "Starpower". This episode is a "big event" involving Rufus and Lilly.[11] Gina Torres has been cast in a recurring role as Vanessa's mother, Gabriela Abrams.[12]. The season 3 premiere had 2.55 million viewers, the lowest so far for a season premiere. Desmond Harrington will return the show in episode 15 or 16, as Chuck's uncle, Jack.[13]
[edit]Reception

[edit]U.S. Nielsen Ratings
The first episode of the show was watched by 3.5 million viewers, coming in last place in its 9:00 p.m. timeslot on Wednesday nights.[14] Despite this, the show was noted to have held the best audience retention of America's Next Top Model in spite of a decline of 30% in the advertiser-craved 18-49 demographic and in total viewers.[15] The show wasn't able to cling to its viewers in its second outing, however, losing more than half of ANTM's audience and 22% of its own debut numbers in the face of strong competition from other shows such as ABC's Private Practice and NBC's Bionic Woman each of which made impressive debuts that night.[16]

She began acting onscreen in 2003 with a pair of bit movie parts, and in 2007 she appeared as the female lead in the acclaimed indie coming-of-age film Rocket Science. But… her real breakthrough came opposite George Clooney as a young corporate go-getter in the comedy/drama Up in the Air For her work in that film, Kendrick garnered Best Supporting Actress nominations from the Screen Actors Guild, the Hollywood Foreign Press, and the Academy, and won that award from the National Board of Review as well as from a handful of critics groups.

MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2010 :Global Superstar ,Male Performance: Robert Pattinson (New Moon)

London-born Robert Pattinson found his acting niche almost instantly, kicking off his career with a string of fantasy roles. After catching the acting bug through amateur theater, the young thespian made his first film appearance at the age of 18, appearing in 2004’s Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King, based… on a Nordic legend. He followed this up by joining the Harry Potter franchise the following year, playing Cedric Diggory in Goblet of Fire, as well as the subsequent movies. MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2010: Best Female Performance: Kristen Stewart (New Moon)

A fervent surfer who bears a striking resemblance to the young Jodie Foster, Kristen Stewart was poised to become a preteen star with her role opposite Foster in David Fincher’s atmospheric thriller Panic Room (2002). A resident of Los Angeles, Stewart’s nascent acting career got off to a promising start… when she was cast in two vastly different films. Eschewing fluffy kids’ movies, Stewart played troubled single mother Patricia Clarkson’s tomboy daughter in independent film darling Rose Troche’s tough examination of suburban angst, The Safety of Objects (2002). Stewart subsequently got her first taste of major Hollywood success with Panic Room. Replacing the original child actress cast as divorcée Meg’s sullen, diabetic daughter Sarah, Stewart became an even more felicitous choice when original star Nicole Kidman dropped out and Foster stepped in. Though critics were less than ecstatic about the film, Stewart still garnered positive notice for her believable presence as Foster’s offspring. Following a supporting performance as the daughter of a couple who unknowingly move into a seemingly haunted house in the 2003 chiller Cold Creek Manor, Stewart took top billing in the emotionally charged drama Speak in 2004. Cast as a traumatized high school freshman whose status as a selective mute draws the concern of friends and family, Stewart’s handling of the remarkably intimate material drew praise from critics and Sundance audiences. A subsequent role in Catch That Kid (a remake of the Danish blockbuster Klatretosen) found Stewart in super-spy mode as a scheming twelve-year-old who recruits a pair of friends to rob a high tech bank in hopes of paying for a life saving operation for her dying father.

Cyrus Defends 'Lesbian Kiss'

MILEY CYRUS has spoken out to defend a controversial performance on U.K. TV, insisting she didn't embrace in a lesbian kiss.

The 17 year old was invited to perform her new single Can't Be Tamed on Britain's Got Talent in front of the show's creator Simon Cowell and fellow judge Piers Morgan on Thursday night (03Jun10).

She stunned viewers of the family-friendly programme with a raunchy routine in which she cavorted on stage in a skimpy basque and ripped fishnet stockings, and appeared to kiss a female dancer.

But the Hannah Montana star has now opened up about the show, pleading with her devotees to not be "disappointed" with her stage antics.

In a post on her official blog, she writes, "I performed Can't Be Tamed this week on one of my favourite shows here in the U.K., Britain's Got Talent. I had such a blast and was so honored to be on that stage. That being said during my performance I supposedly "KISSED A GIRL" and this is the newest thing to cause controversy.

"I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two entertainers can't even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story. I really hope my fans are not disappointed in me because the truth is I did nothing wrong. I got up there and did my job which is to perform to the best of my ability. I just want to put an end to this right now and just say one thing to everyone out there making this performance such a big deal.

Justin Bieber Fever hits New York City: Tween sensation drives girls nuts at Rockefeller Center show

Gaggles of lovesick girls overcome by Bieber Fever swarmed midtown Friday.

More than 12,000 tweens shrieked, screamed and swooned throughout heartthrob Justin Bieber's "Today" show concert outside of Rockefeller Center.

"This is one of the biggest concerts we've had in our 15-year history," said NBC producer Melissa Lonner, who handles the summer shows. "This is definitely one of our youngest crowds."

Fans clogged the streets surrounding the set, waving signs that read "Justin I Love U!" and "We Skipped PROM to see U!"

Rockefeller Center roared with "Justin! Justin!" as the YouTube sensation took the stage at 8:30 a.m. He ran through fan favorites, including "One Time," "Baby" and "Somebody To Love" in his 30-minute set, complete with four acrobatic backup dancers.

The adoring crowd sang along with every word.

"You guys are the best fans in the world!" said the Canadian dreamboat, dressed in white pants and a red hoodie under a denim jacket.

The pop pin-up's every move whipped the audience into a frenzy, whether he was blowing kisses or running his fingers through his signature silky hair. There was a brief stampede when he threw a sweaty towel into the crowd, but no one was hurt.

"He's just so cute!" squealed Joly Maginnis, 8, from Brooklyn. "I love his hair!"

At times, the hysteria appeared to take even the baby-faced Bieber by surprise. He widened his eyes when one ardent admirer screamed "Take it all off!" after he removed his coat.

"I was standing in front, and he blew me a kiss!" said Gabrielle Schiraldi, 14, from Staten Island. "This is a great day!"

"He's just adorable," explained Katie Ratto, 18, from Rockville Center, L.I., who admitted, "I'm probably one of the oldest people here. There's a cute air about him that just really appeals to people of all ages."
